Depression isn't sadness. It is a medical condition that needs special attention. The causes of depression and its widespread implications can be shocking to many. People with severe depression often report a complete loss of memory regarding particular experiences that everyone else remembers. Their sense of understanding of reality can get diminished. Depressed patients sometimes report hallucinating and other mental ailments like sleep paralysis.
  7. Effect of Exercise: Exercise can help regulate depressive episodes in a person. A study conducted on a group of depressed individuals concluded with the observation that considerable improvements were noticed in a person with severe depression when regularised with exercise. It mostly happens because exercising releases a lot of feel-good hormones like norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin.
  8. Treatment-resistant Depression:  A depressed person will often seek the help of a therapist, and the therapist will suggest them to take some medicine. It may be that in the first regular dosage of the drug, the person doesn't feel better and a second routine dosage must be given to the person. That is what proves the presence of resistance treatment. This type of depressions difficult to treat and requires prolonged medication.The patient is now in a much more frail mind pace making it difficult for the doctors to figure out further aggravations of behavior.

There is no solution to depression. It cannot be resolved overnight. However, it can be acknowledged. We must learn to unlearn the many wrong things that society teaches us about depression. Depression and sadness are two very different things. Grief can be recurrent, but depression can be prolonged. Every story of a mental health problem is sketched different. The first step towards understanding the mental health problem is to embrace the reality that all of what is happening may soon get over.

There are several ways to get rid of the darkness inside one's brain. However, ones it subsides, the person must not go on towards those similar self-destructive patterns of behavior. Engaging in self-love while trying to keep a positive outlook towards life always helps. We must try not to shy away from the intricacies of the human mind. Failing to do that may leave us inside a pool of uncertainty with no set exit. Trying to keep up with our fallacies and working on them bit by bit is the first step towards recovery.
