Depression isn't sadness. It is a medical condition that needs special attention. The causes of depression and its widespread implications can be shocking to many. A study conducted on a group of depressed individuals concluded with the observation that considerable improvements were noticed in a person with severe depression when regularised with exercise. It mostly happens because exercising releases a lot of feel-good hormones like norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin.

It may be that in the first regular dosage of the drug, the person doesn't feel better and a second routine dosage must be given to the person. There is no solution to depression. It cannot be resolved overnight. However, it can be acknowledged. We must learn to unlearn the many wrong things that society teaches us about depression. Depression and sadness are two very different things. Grief can be recurrent, but depression can be prolonged. Every story of a mental health problem is sketched different. The first step towards understanding the mental health problem is to embrace the reality that all of what is happening may soon get over.
